Paul Norris of Dallas shot 7-under 64 to take a four-shot lead in the NTPGA Senior Tour event at Great Southwest Golf Club (par 71, 6,721 yards) in Grand Prairie.
Norris shot 31 on the front and 33 on the back. Plano's Perry Arthur fired a 68 to finish the first round alone in second place, one stroke better than Robert McMillan of Colleyville and Ronny Glanton of Richardson.
Final round will be on Tuesday.
