Mark Harrison will replace Darrell Crall as Executive Director of the Northern Texas PGA.Crall has accepted a position with the PGA of America as Senior Director, Golf 2.0. Harrison was hired by the Section in 1997 as the Director of Tournament Operations and has served as the Director of Operations since 1998.
“I have been very fortunate to have Darrell as such a great friend and mentor for so many years,'' Harrison said. ``He has certainly laid the groundwork for the Section’s future success. I am very confident that with the support of our Board and Membership that our team will continue to provide exceptional programs and services for all our customers.”
Harrison, a native of Australia, has worked in professional golf administration for the Carolinas and Northern Texas Sections.In 2004, he co-founded the Birdies for Kids Fundraiser that has raised more than $858,000 for various children’s charities in the region. Harrison is married and he and his wife have two children ages nine and ten. His first day as Executive Director will be June 18.
